QA test: Taste iPhone TestFlight QA — build 7 — 2026-08-06

One-time QA test run for https://testflight.apple.com/join/d4exzYBR.

What to do: Use a physical iPhone only—no simulator, Android device, iPad-only test, or desktop-only test. Before starting, record your iPhone model and iOS version and begin an iPhone screen recording. Open the TestFlight invite, install Apple's TestFlight app if needed, accept the Taste beta, install build 7, and launch it. If Apple still says the beta is not accepting testers, do not mark the task complete; wait and retry later, and notify the task owner. Once installable, test the complete first-run experience: (1) confirm the app launches cleanly and the layout is readable on your iPhone; (2) cast the permitted guest vote, then confirm the next vote requires authentication; (3) use Google one-click sign-in, or verified email if Google is unavailable, and report exactly which path you used and every failure/confusing step; (4) confirm each matchup shows outfits from two different people, test Expand so heads/full outfits are visible, choose a fit, and test Back/undo; (5) browse daily, weekly, monthly, and all-time rankings, open profiles, and inspect the Elo score/percentile graph; (6) open your own public profile, then edit the profile and add a harmless test social link; (7) upload an outfit photo and test the enforced square crop with a vertical or horizontal source image, repositioning it so the full outfit is visible; (8) inspect Taste Wrapped/share controls and the iOS share sheet; (9) test reporting/hiding/blocking, sign-out, and account deletion controls without reporting real users unless something is genuinely unsafe. Look for crashes, freezes, blank screens, authentication loops, cropped heads, layout overflow, slow actions, broken links, misleading copy, ranking errors, and anything confusing. Submit the full screen recording plus written findings. For every issue include severity, exact reproduction steps, expected behavior, actual behavior, and timestamp in the video. A valid completion must include the iPhone model, iOS version, sign-in path used, and at least one concrete observation even if no bug was found. Do not include passwords, private messages, or other sensitive information in the recording.

Deliverable:

• Test https://testflight.apple.com/join/d4exzYBR following the instructions above.
• Send video evidence for every issue in the accepted tester chat.
• Record your screen and microphone audio for the full test. Narrate your actions, every error you find, and anything confusing, poor, or worth improving.
• Attach the narrated video as an MP4, MOV, or WebM no larger than 25 MB, plus at least one representative screenshot.
• For each issue include a short title, a severity (critical/high/medium/low), and exact steps to reproduce.
• Submissions are reviewed automatically. $5.00 is released per accepted submission.

Tester requirements:
