I am a goal-oriented and academically driven professional with experience in both the healthcare and service industries. My background includes completing a rigorous medical sciences pathway, achieving national CCMA certification, and currently pursuing a BSN to become an accredited RN at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. In my most recent role as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant for a Gastroenterology practice, I gained proficiency in EMR systems like EClinicalWorks, patient charting (SOAP notes), managing insurance authorizations and billing, and assisting with physical examinations. I also facilitated patient assistance programs for specialty medications and ensured smooth communication between medical facilities. Prior to my healthcare role, I honed valuable customer service and operational skills in the food service industry, including food handling, POS system operation, and cash management. My experience as a Lifeguard further developed my first aid, safety, and community oversight abilities. I am adept at multitasking, quick thinking, and maintaining calm in fast-paced environments, always striving for smooth and efficient operations.
