Krishna Yadav

Krishna Yadav is a PhD Research Scholar, working at the Engine Research Laboratory, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. He completed his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Mizoram in 2022, graduating as a Gold Medalist. After completing his undergraduate studies, he worked at Larsen & Toubro Construction as a Graduate Engineer Trainee and later as a Senior Engineer in the Billing and Planning department, gaining experience in large-scale infrastructure projects. He joined IIT Kanpur in 2024 to pursue his doctoral research. He has also worked as a research scholar under an international SPARC project at the Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien), Austria, where he conducted experimental research on solid biomass gasification and biochar activation, including SEM and BET analyses. He has attended several international conferences and workshops and is a recipient of a Best Paper Award at an international conference on sustainable energy and environmental challenges held at IIT Mandi in 2024. His doctoral research focuses on the development of an efficient high compression ratio hydrogen direct-injection (DI) engine with diesel pilot using a novel High Pressure Direct Injection (HPDI) strategy. His research interests include clean combustion, hydrogen and alternative fuels, advanced IC engines, and low-carbon energy technologies. Along with this Krishna Yadav is a career counsellor:Founded a counselling centre named Counselling Glance in June 2020 to provide counselling guidance to engineering students across the country, conducting webinars, talking to students and parents and solving their query regarding admission, Singer: Sang Bollywood and Bhojpuri songs at many stages and won numerous award, Mimicry and Drama artist: Performed on many occasions and earned awards and Runner: Avid runner. participated and completed the 100 m race competition.
