I’m a rare hybrid of academic, tradesperson, and property professional — with 25 years of hands-on experience to prove it. My academic background includes a BSc (Hons) in Marine Biology and Coastal Ecology and a Master’s degree in Biodiversity, Wildlife and Ecosystem Health, giving me a strong scientific foundation, analytical thinking, and systems-level problem solving. Alongside this, I’ve spent over two decades in the construction industry, building and renovating residential and commercial properties. My practical expertise spans joinery, bricklaying, plastering and rendering, gained through extensive real-world experience rather than paper qualifications — the kind of knowledge that only comes from doing the work, repeatedly, to a high standard. I’m also a fully qualified electrician, certified to inspect, test, install, and self-certify my own work through NAPIT. I hold multiple Level 2 and Level 3 electrical qualifications, including inspection and testing, NVQ diplomas, and electrotechnical systems, and I’m a Technical Member of the EIT. On the property side, I bring 20 years’ experience as an estate and letting agent, supported by Level 3 qualifications in both residential sales and lettings. I understand property not just as buildings, but as assets, homes, and businesses. To round things off, I’m trained in Autodesk Revit (Beginner to Intermediate) and hold A Levels in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, reinforcing a lifelong comfort with technical detail. In short: I bridge science, construction, electrical systems, and property — and I’m very good at connecting the dots.
