SF Tech Week: wear a giant Abstract QR billboard — Fri Oct 9 — $600 incl. printing
ABSTRACT SF TECH WEEK — FRIDAY OCTOBER 9, 2026
One San Francisco ambassador for Abstract (abstract.inc), the inference platform for robotics. Paid promotion for Abstract / Reflex. The goal is useful conversations with people building or deploying robots and a clear next action on the website.
QR DESTINATION: https://abstract.inc/?utm_source=rentahuman&utm_medium=wearable_billboard&utm_campaign=sftechweek_2026
PAY: $600 fixed to one worker, including labor, printing, straps and local travel. Plan roughly $315 for seven paid hours and $285 for materials/travel; savings are yours. No extra reimbursements. Confirm your print cost and ability to deliver within this amount before accepting. Platform fees are paid separately by us; total checkout is $708 within a $750 cap.
SCHEDULE: Friday Oct 9, all times Pacific: 8:00-9:30 AM; 11:45 AM-1:15 PM; 2:30-5:30 PM. Six campaign hours total, including short paid breaks. Up to one paid hour of pickup/assembly/briefing is included. Gaps are off duty. Have printing and sign fit ready by 7:45 AM. Confirm all three blocks before accepting.
WHY THESE HOURS: The organizer currently lists registration at 8:30 AM, working lunch at 12:10 PM, waterfront viewing/demonstrations at 3:15-4 PM and conclusion at 5 PM. Times can change; check https://vetsintech.co/nssis/schedule_2.php before the shift. Outdoor attendee traffic is not guaranteed.
ROUTE: Start on a safe public pedestrian approach near the Klamath at Pier 9, The Embarcadero. Prioritize this area during arrivals, the 3:15 PM waterfront window and 5 PM departures. When quiet for 20 minutes, log your activity and try the public promenade toward Pier 7, then return to Pier 9 before the next priority window. Ferry Building exterior is a secondary fallback if both are quiet or access is unsuitable. Favor relevant conversations over generic tourist traffic. Keep entrances, bike lanes and accessibility routes clear. Follow security directions; no ticketed entry or claim of organizer sponsorship. Confirm your initial exact spot in bounty chat.
PRINT: Two separate lightweight matte 24 x 36-inch portrait boards from the attached front/back artwork. Print at 100% actual size, no cropping; preserve the QR's clear white margin. Use removable padded shoulder straps; keep face and arms clear. Test both printed QR codes with a phone and check comfort before starting. Hold the boards safely by hand if wind or fit requires it. Arrange a local print shop and confirm capacity before accepting.
CONVERSATION: Open with "Building or deploying robots? Abstract serves robot models through an API. What are you working on?" A qualified conversation involves an actual robotics/autonomy project or responsibility for its deployment. Ask one useful follow-up, such as "How are you serving your models today?" Avoid unverified performance, pricing or free-credit promises.
NEXT ACTION: Stand still for scanning. The QR opens Abstract's website. For a builder, point to BUILD WITH ABSTRACT and its signup path. For a deployment discussion, point to the site's booking link (A RACK ON YOUR FLOOR, OR THOR), which opens Lucas Miranda's 30-minute reflex.inc intro calendar. Let visitors choose their own available slot. If they prefer later follow-up, obtain explicit permission and report only their voluntarily supplied business contact, company/project, question and requested next step in private bounty chat. Never ask for credentials or operate their account.
APPLY: Answer the four screening questions. Confirm all blocks, print/pickup plan, relevant event experience and agreement for Abstract / Reflex to use campaign photos and clips featuring you. Acceptance requires feasible logistics and an accurate product pitch. Don't start until accepted and funding is confirmed. Report any printing, attendance or access problem immediately; agree changes before proceeding.
DELIVERY: Start/end check-ins for each of the three blocks. Four clear campaign photos showing both sign faces and their public locations, with time/location notes. If practical, also capture two short silent clips of the billboard in use (about 10 seconds each); clips are optional. Avoid attendee close-ups without permission. Include material receipts and a concise report by block: location, paid hours, qualified conversations, observed scans, signup/booking handoffs, opt-in follow-up requests and obstacles. Observed scans are manual counts, not verified site visits or conversions. Payment depends on the agreed work and evidence, not numerical scan or signup targets.
