Bangkok small-business photo story: digital payments in daily trade
Small paid editorial pilot for Geopolitics.Asia during World Bank/IMF meetings week. Photograph one consenting adult independent shopkeeper at work in Bangkok, showing the everyday setting and digital-payment acceptance signage naturally if present. This is a reporting question, not a staged claim that digital payments improve access to credit. Choose a location already near you; no entry to the QSNCC security zone or accredited venues. Agree permission before photographing on private premises. Maximum 45 minutes including nearby travel. Fixed USD 20 includes all expenses; do not incur extra costs. Submit three original full-resolution photographs: one strong editorial lead image with space for a headline, and two contextual alternatives. No staged transactions, generative AI, stock images or misleading edits. Do not capture readable payment codes, financial account details, customer screens or identifiable children. Add factual captions with capture date/time, neighborhood, what is visible, and agreed credit; a short consented shopkeeper comment is optional, not required. No need for names or contact details of subjects. Photographer retains copyright and, upon payment, grants Geopolitics.Asia a non-exclusive worldwide editorial publication license for these submitted images with agreed credit, including website/social promotion of the story. No advertising endorsement or resale rights requested. Applications must include a relevant portfolio and confirm nearby availability, consent approach and acceptance of the fixed fee/rights. No work should begin until selected and the assignment is confirmed.
This is a time-bounded editorial experiment. Final photographs and captions must be delivered by 18 October 2026 at 11:22 a.m. Asia/Bangkok (04:22 UTC), as well as within 24 hours of confirming your seat. Only apply if you can meet that deadline. We plan to select a worker by 17 October at 11:22 a.m. Bangkok to preserve the full delivery window. No work is requested from unselected applicants.
