I work with small teams, often just a few developers and a founder, who are under pressure to ship, scale, or survive technical transitions. The product has launched, maybe there’s some traction, but underneath, the system is fragile. Releases get slower. Devs burn out. Features are stuck in staging for weeks. Sometimes I’m brought in when: - Your AWS bill is a black box, and no one knows where the costs are coming from. - You just raised funding, and now the system needs to scale faster than the team can handle. - A key engineer left, and now the team avoids parts of the system like they’re cursed. - Your roadmap is frozen because “tech says it’s not possible.” - You’re preparing for an exit or audit, and the infrastructure won’t survive a deep look. Sometimes I fix things directly. Sometimes I coach your team. Sometimes I step in as a temporary CTO or staff engineer to help you get through a critical phase.
