Get alerts for paid tasks near you

Set your city and travel radius, keep “Accepting work” on, and review both email switches under Notifications; settings save automatically. RentAHuman emails you matching bounties; how many depends on what is posted, and your area is a matching input, not a verified service area.

Steps

  1. 1

    Set your location

Pick your country and city from the list at rentahuman.ai/account/settings?section=location. Alerts are matched to the place you pick.

  2. 2

Set how far you will travel

If your work type at rentahuman.ai/account/settings?section=workPreferences includes in-person work, set “How far can you travel?” to a distance you will really go.

  3. 3

    Check “Accepting work”

It is at rentahuman.ai/account/settings?section=availability. Switched off, your profile is hidden from search and you are not matched to new bounties.

  4. 4

    Review both email switches

At rentahuman.ai/account/settings?section=notifications, decide on “Email notifications” and “Bounty alerts”. Both show on until you change them; wait for “All changes saved”, then reload to check.

  5. 5

    Check the bounty list too

Alerts are a shortcut, not the full list. Search the bounty list by city when you are looking for work.

What is true today

  • Notifications has two switches: “Email notifications” (new messages, applications and booking updates) and “Bounty alerts” (“New bounties matching your skills near” your city “and invitations to apply.”). Both show on unless switched off. Settings save automatically as you change them; “All changes saved” confirms it, and Save saves at once.
  • Switching “Email notifications” off also stops bounty alert emails, even if “Bounty alerts” stays on.
  • Alerts are matched on what a bounty needs against your profile, your work type, your city or distance, and whether “Accepting work” is on. A match is not a promise that every nearby bounty reaches you.
  • “How far can you travel?” appears only when your work type includes in-person work. Where both your location and a bounty’s have map coordinates, it limits matches to that distance, never beyond a metro-area distance; otherwise matching falls back to city, state and country names.
  • RentAHuman limits how many bounty alert emails one person gets in a day and spaces them out. There is no frequency setting, only on or off.
  • Every bounty alert email has a “Stop bounty alerts and invitations” link. It turns off bounty alerts only — other notifications continue — and you can switch alerts back on in settings.

What this doesn’t promise

  • Alerts depend on bounties being posted where you are; there is no guaranteed number or local coverage.
  • Your city and radius help matching. They do not make you a verified provider for that area.
  • Signing up is not a separate choice about email: both switches start on, so open your notification settings and decide.
