You are testing a home management app. Please install it on your device and explore it thoroughly.
What to test:
Spend at least 10–15 minutes exploring the app. Go through onboarding, the main features, and any flows that seem central to the app's concept. Try to use the app as you naturally would if it were part of your daily routine managing your home.
What to capture in your video:
Record your full screen throughout the session. Please narrate your thoughts as you go — what you find intuitive, what confuses you, what you'd expect to find but can't. Silent video is also accepted but narration is strongly encouraged.
Key questions to address:
What is your overall first impression?
What works well and feels polished?
What does not work well, is confusing, or feels broken?
How clear is the core concept of the app — did you quickly understand what it's for?
What features feel missing or incomplete for someone managing their home?
Report any bugs with clear reproduction steps in your narration or as a note in your submission.
Submission requirements
Video assignments require spoken microphone narration throughout. Captions, written narration, and on-screen text are not substitutes.
Each required test item must be backed by video evidence: a timestamped range in your recording or a short clip.
1Install the app on your deviceDownload via TestFlight (iOS) or Google Play beta (Android) and complete installation. Show this in your screen recording.
2Complete onboardingGo through the full onboarding flow. Note anything confusing or missing. Capture the entire flow in your recording.
3Explore core featuresNavigate through the main sections of the app. Try all major features available. Narrate what each does and your reaction to it.
4Assess concept clarityShare your understanding of what the app is for and who it's for. Did the app make this clear on its own?
5Identify what works wellCall out specific flows, screens, or interactions that feel polished, intuitive, or valuable.
6Identify issues and missing featuresNote anything broken, confusing, or frustrating. Also highlight features you'd expect in a home management app that are absent. Provide reproduction steps for any bugs.
7Complete the assigned test stepsFollow every instruction above. If a step is blocked, name the exact step and explain what prevented it.
8Describe test coverageSay which steps, pages, controls, and paths you actually exercised. Name the device or browser you used only when the task asks for it or when it changes what you found.
9Report concrete resultsExplain what happened, what worked, and any confusing or poor experience you observed.
10Provide the required video evidenceAttach an MP4, MOV, or WebM screen recording no larger than 512 MB, plus at least one representative screenshot.
11Connect your attachments to the reportIn the same chat message as your uploads, explain what the attached files show and which tested step or finding they support. One explanation covering several files is fine when it is clear which file supports what.
12Make every issue reproducibleFor each issue, include a short title, severity, expected behavior, actual behavior, and exact reproduction steps.
13Still report useful observations if nothing failedA no-issue result must still say exactly what you tested and include concrete usability observations.
