THE GIG: make the launch TikTok for Chromatics, a new iOS app that renders classic literature beautifully — every character's dialogue in its own color (you never lose track of who's talking), and a built-in audiobook read-along that highlights the text and turns the pages by itself. You'd install our private beta on your own iPhone (via Apple TestFlight — we send the invite in chat), genuinely use the app for 20-30 minutes, find the moments that feel gorgeous, then design, capture (screen-record on your device), and edit ONE polished 9:16 vertical video: 1080x1920 or better, roughly 10-25 seconds, designed for sound-on, cut to high-energy public-domain classical music (we supply a cleared Vivaldi recording, or propose another verifiably public-domain recording).
WHERE OUR HEAD IS AT: after you apply we'll send a private link to our own rough attempt at this video. It's honest but amateur — use it to understand the direction, then make something BETTER and YOURS. We are not asking you to re-edit our file; we're asking for your video, your creative choices, something a stranger watches to the end.
THE RULES THAT MAKE IT WORK (from our research — the winner gets the full brief):
SELECTION: apply with (a) links to 2-3 short-form videos or edits YOU personally made (any platform, or a viewable folder link), (b) your online presence (handle or site), and (c) one sentence: what's on screen in the FIRST TWO SECONDS of your version. We watch everything and verify the work is genuinely yours. The platform may auto-accept an early applicant into the seat; that is NOT the decision — we review all applications and confirm the actual hire in chat before any work starts.
THE $5 THANK-YOU: the first five complete applications with watchable, genuinely-your-own work links get a $5 payment via a small direct task, whether or not you win the job.
DELIVERABLES ($85, plus possible tip for exceptional work): the final export AND your raw clips + project file (or edit-ready layers), delivered via link in chat. One revision round included. Timeline: about 48 hours after you receive the beta and assets; if you need longer, say so up front.
USAGE RIGHTS (read before applying — the checkbox is binding): You confirm you are a legal adult (at least eighteen years old) and that everything you deliver is your original work or properly licensed. You grant Chromatics a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, edit, and publish the delivered video and working assets for marketing on any platform, INCLUDING PAID ADVERTISING, with attribution waived. The job and thank-you prices include these rights — no further usage payment is owed.
