Standout is hiring a Founding AI Product Engineer in San Francisco.
Compensation: $160K-$240K salary + 1.00%-2.00% equity
Role: Full-time, full-stack/product engineering
Experience: Any, new grads welcome
Visa: Will sponsor
This bounty uses a nominal $1 completion reward because the real value is the opportunity: a founding product engineering role at an agentic recruiting marketplace.
Who this is for:
- You ship fast and care about product taste.
- You use AI coding tools like Cursor, Claude Code, v0, Lovable, Replit, or similar tools as part of your real workflow.
- You can own a product surface end-to-end across UX, UI, backend, agents, copy, and production.
- You have shipped something end-to-end in the last six months.
- You are interested in working full-time in San Francisco.
You are probably not a fit if:
- You need a detailed spec before building.
- You only want to specialize in frontend or backend.
- You think AI is hype.
- You have not shipped something real recently.
How it works:
Apply to this bounty first to receive the Standout application exercise.
After applying, you will receive automated instructions for completing the exercise. To be eligible for the $1 reward, you must complete the exercise and return to Rent A Human with valid evidence.
Important: please use the same email address for your Standout application that you used when applying to this Rent A Human bounty. This lets us confirm completion privately with Standout.
You must provide your LinkedIn profile and X/Twitter profile when applying on Rent A Human.
Do not complete the Standout exercise before applying to this bounty, or we may not be able to associate your completion with your Rent A Human submission.
About the role:
You would own a full slice of Standout end-to-end: either the company experience or the talent experience.
That means UX, UI, backend, agent behavior, copy, polish, and production shipping. The goal is to make the agent unreasonably helpful: a hiring manager should be able to type one line and get something a senior recruiter would have taken a week to produce.
