Data Accuracy Auditor for College Comparison Tool (1,300+ Colleges)

We are developing a college discovery and comparison tool aimed at helping high schoolers find and compare colleges they may not have otherwise considered. The tool aggregates data from multiple external sources — including the College Scorecard API and US News — and displays metrics such as tuition costs, admission rates, graduation rates, rankings, and other standard college data points, alongside internally developed advanced metrics.

We are looking for a detail-oriented researcher/data auditor to rigorously audit the externally sourced data outputs of our tool across 1,300+ colleges. Your primary focus will be on verifying the accuracy of data pulled from public sources like the College Scorecard API and US News (NOT our internal proprietary metrics).

Your responsibilities will include:

• Setting up the tool locally using Google Antigravity to run a local server (instructions and access will be provided)
• Cloning the project repository via a provided GitHub repo clone command in your terminal
• Systematically comparing the tool's outputted data against the raw data from the College Scorecard API and US News for each college
• Documenting all discrepancies found — including which data field is incorrect, what the tool shows vs. what the source shows, and the severity of the error
• Delivering a structured audit report summarizing findings

Important: You will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before receiving access to the repository. All work and findings must remain strictly confidential.
