Bookshop Book Spine Photographer – College Street, Kolkata

We're looking for 5 motivated, detail-oriented people in Kolkata to systematically photograph the spines of books in bookshops — starting on College Street and surrounding areas.

What you'll be doing: Visit bookshops and photograph the spines of as many books as possible in each shop. This means working through shelves methodically, capturing clear, legible photos of book spines in groups. The goal is comprehensive coverage — not just a few shelves, but as much of the shop as possible.

Pay: $6 per bookshop completed. This is a fixed rate per shop — the more shops you cover thoroughly and well, the more you earn. Top performers will be rewarded with higher rates over time.

What counts as a completed bookshop: A shop is considered complete when you've photographed the spines of all (or nearly all) visible books in the shop, organized by shelf/section, with clear and legible images.

Tips:

• Develop a rhythm — move shelf by shelf
• Make sure spine text is readable in each photo
• Ask shopkeepers for permission if needed
• Good lighting and steady hands go a long way

This is a great hustle opportunity for someone who loves books and knows the College Street area well.
